Document & knowledge workflows

From source documents
to reviewed work.

AID builds Claude workflows that prepare information in the form the business needs: a structured record, a cited summary, an answer or a completed template. Review and approval are designed into the workflow.

Approved source documents become a cited draft. A reviewer checks the work before an approved update.
Source evidence stays connected to the work product.

01 / Where the work begins

Use the systems and
standards already in place.

A workflow is most useful when it fits the record structure, review process and permissions of the organization using it. Those requirements determine the design.

Document intake

Classify incoming material, identify the relevant record, extract required fields and route incomplete or uncertain packets for review.

Review preparation

Prepare chronologies, summaries and template fields with references to the source material. Record what was changed or approved.

Knowledge search

Retrieve permitted policies or reference material and prepare answers with citations. Escalate questions when the evidence is insufficient.

02 / The workflow

Design for the difficult
documents as well as the easy ones.

Clean samples can hide the reasons a workflow fails in practice. Scanned pages, conflicting records, missing attachments and ambiguous identifiers belong in the evaluation.

  1. 01

    Receive

Ingest approved sources with the permissions and record identifiers required by the client.

  2. 02

    Prepare

Extract or summarize the information, preserving source references and flagging uncertainty.

  3. 03

    Review

Present the draft and exceptions to the designated reviewer before consequential action.

  4. 04

    Record

Write approved information through the agreed integration and retain the action history.

How the work is evaluated

Measure the complete
review process.

A fluent summary is only part of the result. The evaluation also checks whether the right record was selected, important information was retained and the reviewer had enough evidence to make a decision.

  • Required fields and material facts captured.
  • Citations that support the draft.
  • Correct entity and record matching.
  • Exceptions detected and reviewer corrections.
  • Handling time and operating cost.

A controlled start

Evaluate before
enabling system updates.

A first release can run in a review queue or alongside the current process. The client assesses the output and exceptions before authorizing a broader role.

Useful starting material

  • The current workflow and target work product.
  • A representative sample approved for evaluation.
  • The rules for access, review and record retention.
  • A process owner who can judge the output.
